For my final year University assignment I decided to push myself and look into the area of Interface Design. For the project I re-designed the original console interface for Nintendo's Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998) and made it suitable for a PC. By updating it for a PC functions such as drag and drop could be added.
The assets for the interface were created in Photoshop. When completed they were put together in Flash and the animations/interaction methods were added using Action Script. The Flash file was saved and imported into UDK. With UDK having Scaleform built in; a simple Kismet sequence was created to allow a player to open the interface when in a level by pressing I.
